This was the first time four helicopters made a near-simultaneous landing on the vessel and was part of her Operational Evaluation. Aviators from Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron-264, the Air Combat Element of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, piloted the helicopters. Marines from the 26th MEU are aboard the San Antonio to conduct exercises during the ships OpEval, which will measure the new ship's ability to support Marine expeditionary operations.
