Description
English: AMARIYAH, Iraq - A pair of humvees assigned with TOW Platoon, 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, converge on a stretch of the Iraqi desert Aug. 29. The Marine anti-tank gunners of Tube-launched, Optically-tracked, Wire-guided missiles, are one of the combat units leading the charge against insurgents here. Combining infantry, squad tactics with vehicle mobility, the TOW operators consider themselves the original 'Supergrunts.' (Official U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Ruben D. Maestre)
