The following is the author's description of the photograph quoted directly from the photograph's Flickr page. "PORTLAND, Maine- Crewmembers from the Coast Guard Cutter Marcus Hanna and members from a Coast Guard Strike Team from Fort Dix, N.J., work together to inflate a 50-foot oil storage barge that works in conjunction with the vessel of opportunity skimming system that will be deployed from the cutter during the Spill of National Significance Drill, March 23, 2010. The barge takes about an hour and a half to fully inflate and can hold up to 26,000 gallons of oil when used in an oil spill. (Photo by U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer 2nd Class Etta Smith) " |
