Summary[edit]

Description ATLANTIC OCEAN (Oct. 26, 2021) The U.S. Coast Guard polar icebreaker USCGC Healy (WAGB 20) and the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missle destroyer USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109) conduct a passing exercise in the Atlantic Ocean. Healy's deployment demonstrates the U.S. commitment to ensuring a safe and secure Arctic as the cutter crew is deployed for four and a half months to conduct operational ice testing, strengthen relationships with partner nations, project U.S. presence, and protect U.S. sovereignty rights. Jason Dunham is operating in the Atlantic Ocean in support of naval operations to maintain maritime stability and security to ensure access, deter aggression, and defend the U.S., allied, and partner interest.
