Description
English: U.S. Navy divers, with Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) 2, receive final insights from a naval historian before beginning diving operations aboard the rescue and salvage ship USNS Grasp (T-ARS 51) in the North Sea July 26, 2011. Grasp, MDSU-2 and Navy archeologists, scientists and historians deployed to the North Sea to conduct dive expeditions. The group hopes to find the historic flagship of John Paul Jones, USS Bohnomme Richard, which sank following the battle of Flamborough Head in 1779, while verifying sites of suspected shipwrecks.
