English: U.S. Navy Master Chief Diver Kelly Polk, facing camera at right, with Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) 2, listens to the dive safety brief prior to commencing operations aboard the rescue and salvage ship USNS Grasp (T-ARS 51) in the North Sea July 26, 2011. Grasp, MDSU-2 and Navy archeologists, scientists and historians deployed to the North Sea to conduct dive expeditions. The group hopes to find the historic flagship of John Paul Jones, USS Bohnomme Richard, which sank following the battle of Flamborough Head in 1779, while verifying sites of suspected shipwrecks. |
