Description
English: Captain Burton E. Moore, Jr. of the Marine Corps Combat Art Program made this graphite sketch while serving in Somalia. In this sketch, Captain Moore caught members of the 5th Marines’ Jump Team No. 1 under fire on the roof of the former U.S. Embassy. Captain Moore wrote, “LCpl Thomas W. Wasson, USMC, shirtless, sees a ‘porthole of opportunity’, and puts a few rounds over that way.”
