English: U.S. Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Bryce Meeker, a Orange County, California native, attempts to find scout snipers crawling towards their objective during Exercise Forest Light 17-1 at Somagahara, Japan, March 10, 2017. Forest Light is designed to maintain readiness and interoperability of Japan Ground Self-Defense and deployed U.S. Marine Corps forces to ensure an effective and rapid response to any contingency in the region.
