A SMALL BUBBLE OF CONTAMINATED SEAWATER TO BE STUDIED AT DOE'S MARINE SCIENCES LABORATORY.

PACIFIC NORTHWEST NATIONAL LABORATORY RESEARCHERS AT THE MARINE SCIENCE LABORATORY ANALYZE SEAWATER FOR CONTAMINATION. THIS SMALL BUBBLE CONTAINS PRE-CONCENTRATED MICROORGANISMS, OILS, FECAL COLIFORM BACTERIA, AND OTHER CONTAMINANTS COLLECTED FROM THE TOP 50 MICRONS ON THE SEA SURFACE MICROLAYER.
