Tununguá Boyacá Está localizada en la provincia de Occidente del departamento de Boyacá. Zona perteneciente al Magdalena medio y a la vez insertada en la cuenca del río Minero dentro de la Cordillera Oriental de los Andes. Su temperatura se encuentra entre los 20° g.c y 33° g.c. Presenta los cuatro pisos térmicos aptos para la agricultura en frutales y cultivos de pan-coger. Guanábana, Guayaba, Aguacate, Pitahaya, Cítricos, Café, Caña de azúcar, Plátano, Yuca, Maíz, Cacao entre otros, crianza de animales como Gallinas, Cerdos y Ganado para uso local. SUS LÍMITES SON: al norte con el Municipio de ALBANIA- SANTANDER (rio canutillo, quebrada negra), noroccidente: Municipio DE FLORIÁN- SANTANDER, oriente: Municipio de BRICEÑO BOYACÁ, sur oriente: Municipio de PAUNA BOYACÁ. RELIGIÓN: Católica 80 % y cristiana 20% AFINIDAD POLÍTICA: Liberal. GENTILICIO: TUNUNGÜENSE. CONFORMADO POR 7 VEREDAS ANCAMAY, PALMAR, MOJARRAS, SANTA ROSA, PEÑA BLANCA, VIJAGUAL, CALICHAL Y SU CASCO URBANO. EXTENSIÓN TOTAL: 77 km² ALTITUD DE LA CABECERA MUNICIPAL: 1.246 msnm CAPITAL DE NUESTRA REGION CHIQUINQUIRA BOYACÁ TUNUNGUÁ COORDENADAS LATITUD: 5.7075 Longitud: -73.9839 LAT / LON ACTUAL: 5.7116-73.9803 MONTAÑAS: alto del Hubo, alto de Vijagual 1.800 MTS y Peña del Águila Ancamay.
