Summary[edit]

Description

In the year 1908 the Earth had an encounter a comet or asteroid, probably around 60 meters in size.

The forest destruction caused by this encounter is compared in this illustration with Los Angeles, California. Prepared for NASA by Stephen Paul Meszaros.
