Bahasa Indonesia: Tumpeng berasal dari sebuah singkatan ‘yen metu kudu mempeng’ yang memiliki arti tersendiri. Bila diterjemahkan dalam bahasa Indonesia, ‘yen metu kudu mempeng’ berarti ‘ketika keluar harus sungguh-sungguh semangat.’. Dalam perkembangannya bentuk tumpeng tidak hanya berbentuk kerucut namun semakin bergaram & dihias dengan berbagai macam - macam, ada yang menggunakan sayur, telur, dilumuri sambal pedas, dan sebagainya.
Para guru mencoba mencicipi tumpeng buatan murid di salah satu sekolah menengah kejuruan dalam rangka acara HUT (Hari Ulang Tahun) SMK. Tampak detail sekali guru tersebut dalam mengamati, menilai, dan merasakan makanan tersebut. |
