Description
Deutsch: Der Nageler-Schwanzhammer, ein schwerer Schmiedehammer mit Wasserantrieb war einst im Glasbläserdorf Tscherniheim am Tscherniheimer Bach im Einsatz und steht nun als Ausstellungstück in der Schmiede im Dachgeschoß des Museums für Volkskultur Spittal an der Drau in Kärnten / Österreich / Europäische Union. Der Hammer ist u.a. abgebildet in Helmut Prasch: Waldglas aus Oberkärnten 1621-1879 - Glashütte Tscherniheim. Selbstverlag des Bezirksheimatmuseums Spittal-Drau 1971. In Auszügen (27 Seiten mit Abbildungen) abgedruckt in Pressglas-Korrespondenz, Nr. 2008-4 unter www.pressglas-korrespondenz.de, aufgerufen am 21. Juli 2012. Der Antrieb des Hammers erfolgte über ein oberschlächtiges Wasserrad. In der Bildmitte steht ein Amboss, im Hintergrund eine Holzleiter.
English: The Nageler tail hammer, a heavy hammer (Trip hammer), water-powered, once in the village glassblower Tscherniheim issued today at the Museum of Folk Culture in Spittal an der Drau in Carinthia / Austria / EU. The hammer is driven by an overshot waterwheel. It was the hammer of the forge, the tools manufactured. In the center stands an anvil. In the background is a wooden ladder.
