Description
日本語: タロコ蕃の美女。タイヤル族には美女が多い。特にタロコ方面に多いやうである。南方のパイワンの女のコケツトなのに比してタイヤルの美人は清楚な感じがする。女の額の黥は五六歳になると施し，兩類は妙齡になると行ふ。或蕃社では結婚すると同時に頰の黥をすると云ふ所もある。男子も額の黥は五六歳となると行ふが下顎の黥は首狩に參加しないと昔は出來なかつた。首狩に參加出來なかつた若者達は，首狩の引上げ來る一行に參加し，取つた首を負はせてもらつて黥をする資格を與へられた事もあつたさうである。黥は施術者が居て，一定の報酬によつて頼むのである。施術後數日間は食事もできね位に患部が腫れ，女は施術前に貞操が破れて居る場合等，出來上りが醜くなると信ぜられて居る。（宮本延人）
