Afrikaans: Waterverf. Beligte voormanswoning op die Vredenburg-opstal te Suriname. Vredenburg was 'n suikerplantasie aan die Paraspruit. Stroomop is dit deur die Altona-hoewe begrens, en stroomaf deur die Houttuin-suikerplantasie. Die Vredenburgplantasie het 'n suikermeule gehad wat deur water aangedryf is. Volgens argiefinligting in die museum het dit later La Ressource-plantasie geword.

Nederlands: Aquarel. Vredenburg was een suikerplantage aan de Parakreek. Bovenwaarts werd hij begrensd door de kostgrond Altona, benedenwaarts aan de suikerplantage Houttuin. De plantage had een suikermolen die door water werd aangedreven.
Volgens archiefinformatie in het museum werd dit later plantage La Ressource. Aquarel voorstellende directeurswoning bij avond op plantage Vredenburg |
