Summary[edit]

Description
English: Now part of De Montfort University (the hospital moved to a new site), Trinity Hospital was originally founded by Henry, third Earl of Lancaster and Leicester, who was buried in the chapel here. His son, Henry of Grosmont, enlarged his father's foundation, and built the collegiate church of the Annunciation of Our Lady of The Newarke. The hospital (except the chapel) was largely rebuilt by George III.
