English: Illustration of trident from page 295 from Nordbon during the pagan era. Popular representation of our ancestors' oldest culture (previous department, Stockholm, 1852) by Axel Em. Holmberg.
The accompanying text reads: "Triangle- or rather foot-angel-shaped stone placements have been wanted for sacrificial places and other holy places. However, they are all graves, such as containing pots with burnt bones. They are sometimes decorated with corner and center stones, as well as over one arm with an arch of border stones, as the nearby figure shows. What this arch is supposed to signify, we do not know; often they have their proper family pile in the middle."
