Summary[edit]

Description
English: When transplanting rice to the paddies was done by hand, many people developed bent backs in their old age. But later the small engines of these 2-wheeled tractors made the work easier. In the 21st century more and more rice paddies had been consolidated into larger rectangles and lightweight tractors or purpose-built ride-on transplanters took over the work. This photo from 1994 shows the 2-wheeled machine at work.
