Pour arriver à ce but, onimprime et on teint incomplètement des mordants lilas foncés, etlorsque le blanc du tissu a été convenablement purifié, on passedans une eau légèrement acidulée tenant en dissolution une cer-taine quantité de cyanure ferroso-potassique ; le mordant defer qui se trouve libre se teint comme celui de léch. 91, et lateinte bleue qui en est la conséquence, sajoutant à celle quen-gendre la garance avec le même mordant, donne la nuance deléchantillon 207. &07. Fond blanc avec impression violet garance transformé par le cyanure.

La combinaison des matières colorantes jaunes et rougesavec les mordants de fer et dalumine donne une foule denuances brunes quon peut considérer comme formées de vert,de jaune et de rouge ; la première provient de laction du prin-cipe jaune sur le mordant de fer; on y arrive aussi avec unniordant dalumine seul , mais en faisant concourir le bleu.Léchantillon 208 ci-après en fournit la preuve. Cest un fondbrun foncé avec enlevage blanc. Cette fabrication est identiqueavec celle des échantillons 187, 205 ; mais lorsquil sest agi deteindre, au lieu de passer dans an bain de quercitron ou dans ^m m ^H I ; GENEES DERIVES DES COULEURS MIXTES. 425 M I #OS. Fond brun avec impression P»lane enlevage au chro-mate, sur bleu de cuve et mordant dalumine teint engarance et quereitron.
