English: In the Exclusion zone some preparations are made for the fire season
Written on 13 March 2020. Print During a working trip to the Exclusion zone Acting Head of the State agency of Ukraine on Exclusion zone management Kateryna Pavlova together with the Heads of the SSE «Pivnichna Pushcha» inspected the creation of mineralized strips along the perimeter of the Exclusion zone in the Dytiatkiv Forestry and got acquainted with the general state of implementation of the complex of works for preparation for the fire season. «Timely preparation for the fire season will allow us to create the prerequisites for prompt response to the occurrence of fires in this territory. After all, green planting of the Exclusion zone is a barrier to the removal of radionuclides beyond its boundaries, and we must take care of the green fence of the Exclusion zone»,- said Acting Head of the SAUEZM Kateryna Pavlova. Director of the SSE «Pivnichna Pushcha» Roman Kizyun informed about the implementation of work on preparation for the fire season. «This winter turned out to be very dry and the primary task is to carry out works that will help minimize and localize fires in the Exclusion zone. In particular, clearing roads will allow you to quickly reach the place of ignition, and fire breaks and mineralized strips will become barriers to the spread of fire»,- said the director of the SSE «Pivnichna Pushcha». |
