Summary[edit]
DescriptionTrack through Raven Meols Hills sand dunes - geograph.org.uk - 96419.jpg |
English: Track through Raven Meols Hills sand dunes. The Sefton Coast is fringed by sandbanks and has changed much over the centuries, through natural events and coastal protection and reclamation - see Sefton Coast Partnership website http://www.seftoncoast.org.uk/ . The 1940s Ordnance Survey map shows the area of this sand dune as a flat sandbank below the high water level. The photo is taken looking south west at low tide on Boxing Day, with North Wales on the horizon. |
