OBLITÉRATIONS RESSEMBLANT À DES EMPREINTES DE MACHINE DAGUIN.

Les autorités françaises font apposer sur le courrier de nombreuses marques de propagande politique ressemblant à des empreintes de machines Daguin dont la forme est différente au Nord ( en minuscules et rectangulaire) et au Sud (en majuscules et carrée).

Bien que ces marques aient été utilisées dans de nombreux bureaux, les exemplaires répertoriés aujourd'hui sont très rares. De plus, la plupart des empreintes sont très mal marquées et peu lisibles.

Note 1: de par leurs dimensions, il est probable que certaines de ces marques, bien que ressemblant à des empreintes apposées par une machine "Daguin", ne pouvaient pas être montées sur ces machines. Beaucoup de ces empreintes ont été apposées manuellement à coté du timbre-à-date. Dans le doute, on utilisera ci-dessous l'expression "pseudo-Daguin", les spécialistes feront le tri.

Note 2 : les empreintes apposées par les machines Daguin ont 28 mm entre les axes des deux cachets, 4 mm entre les bordures des deux cachets et portent la plupart du temps la marque du piston toucheur.

doigt La numérotation utilisée est celle de Jacques Desrousseaux (voir bibliographie à la fin). Les calques sont ceux parus dans le bulletin 37, mars 1996 du Club Marcophile de la Seconde Guerre Mondiale, par Bertrand Sinais.
