Description
Français : Comme beaucoup de tourbières européennes, cette tourbière haute a été drainée il y a plus d'un siècle dans une tentative avortée d'enrésinement.

La pluviométrie de près de 2 mètres par an à l'étage subalpin favorise la reconstruction d’une tourbière active dotée d'un horizon supérieur perméable (acrotelme). On note le front de taille d'un drain occupé par des communautés végétales pionnières sur tourbe minéralisée, très colorées par l'automne : Trichophore cespiteux, Airelle des marais, Andromède à feuilles de Polium & Linaigrette engainée. Territoire du Parc naturel régional des Ballons des Vosges.
