Toucan:- (Two-Can Cross) Whilst the toucans listed vary slightly in design, they are all based on the same principle in that they cleverly detect and monitor pedestrians, cycles and vehicles so that they all get a fair share of the crossing without imposing unnecessary delays. Other types of crossings are:- Zebra:- Striped lines and no lights Pelican:- (Pedestrian Light Controlled Crossing) Puffin (Pedestrian User-Friendly Intelligent crossings) Pegasus:- Seen near race courses |
