| Description | I knew Toronto had a railway museum and I simply had to track it down. As it were, it turned out to be a triple whammy. One, it was located in the grounds of the old Toronto roundhouse, which still stands. Second, the turntable and stuff were still in place. And third, it was also home to the Steam Whistle Brewery which brews quality beer using one of the old locomotive repair sheds and part of the erstwhile railway premises to carry on it's trade. Added bonus: it was a ten minutes walk from my hotel, and it was right opposite the CN Tower and Ripley's Aquarium. Here is a sign on the street just outside the extensive grounds- this is the Roundhouse Park. (Toronto, Canada, Nov.2015) |
