Summary
[edit]DescriptionToo tired but we have to climb up there to get to shore! -( (14419008680).jpg | It was nearly 14:00 and my legs were killing me, thanks to all that steep climbing. And so was my rear end, with two+ two four hours of sitting on a hard bench. (ours was one of the few boats without chairs). And as for the heat, I was beginning to understand how a chicken must be feeling when it is being slow grilled. More steps were the last thing I needed. Yet, I had to go through with it to reach terra firma once again. Onto the inflatable rubber pier, onto that plank and then up those steps. I let the elderly Hong Kong family go on ahead so that I could climb at a more leisurely pace. Shame, to think I was much younger than those older folk! (Luang Prabang, Laos/ Lao PDR, April 2014) |
