Description |
Standard bearer above inscription. Described in Eboracum as 'Tombstone of limestone, 2ft 2ins by 6ft 6ins, by 7ins, with gabeled top, found in 1688, on the site of Holy Trinity Priory, Micklegate. In the apex of the gabel is a small cross in a circle. Below, in a round headed niche Duccius stands holding a maniple standard in his right hand and a case of writing tablets in his left.
