Description
English:
Tom Lantos by Yengibarian Mamikon (2018 Bronze statue, holocaust related) The inauguration ceremony was attended by a significant number of members of Tom Lantos's family, from his wife, to his grandchildren, the interim U.S. attorney, representatives of various embassies. Much was said about his connection to Budapest, the apartment building (Tom Lantos plaque) near Szent István Park, the nearby grammar school where he studied. And, of course, his work, his humanity, his way of thinking. Close to this sculpture, at the Viza Street corner a memorial stone inaugurated (2016, relocated in 2018)- Tom Lantos Promenade, Vizafogó neighbourhood, 13th district of Budapest.
