Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This is a han opposite the Takyeciler Mosque. At the time it was partly in ruins, but it has been restored. From the web, translated and condensed: Deveciler Inn, also known as Fatih Mehmet Pasha Inn, is located south of Takyeciler Mosque and west of Yağıbasan Madrasa. It has no inscription. In view of the architectural and historical developments of the muqarnas on the niches on both sides of the entrance door and the architectural and decorative techniques applied it is estimated to date from the time of Çelebi Mehmet (1413-1421) or his son Murat II (1421-1451). On the east side of the inn, there are two large vaulted camel (deve) stables, which can be accessed through the door to the east of the courtyard. Today, this part is used as a concert/conference hall. Gaziosmanpaşa University conservatory trainings are also held in the inn, but it is also open to visitors. Located on the historical Silk Road, Deveciler Inn is one of the oldest city inns offering single-occupancy (rooms) accommodation. Source: Tokat Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism Archive
