Deutsch: Tafel am Denkmal der Schlacht bei Minden in Minden-Todtenhausen, Nordrhein-Westfalen. Inschrift:


Denkmal
Zur Erinnerung an die
Schlacht bei Minden am 1. August 1759
der für den Ausgang des Siebenjährigen
Krieges von 1756 bis 1763 ein wesentlicher Sieg
der verbündeten preußischen, schaumburg lippischen,
hannoverschen und britischen Truppen unter
Herzog Ferdinand von Braunschweig über die
französischen Soldaten und ihre deutschen
Verbündeten unter Marschall Contardes
errungen wurde.
Für England bedeutete der Sieg die
Kolonialvorherrschaft in Nordamerika und in Indien.
Die beteiligten britischen Traditionsregimenter
begehen die Wiederkehr des Tages
der Schlacht bei Minden
besonders feierlich als
„Minden-Day“.
Das Denkmal wurde 1850 zur Feier
des bundesweiten Jahrestages der
Schlacht bei Minden
in nationaler Gesinnung errichtet
