Summary[edit]

Description
English: Voyager 2 image of the Saturnian satellite Titan from 4.5 million km. The bright southern hemisphere and dark north polar region can be seen, along with visible cloud bands parallel to the equator. Titan is 5,150 km in diameter and the resolution of the image is about 85 km. The moon appears to be totally shrouded by the thick atmosphere. This image was produced by combining violet, blue, and green filter images. North is up.
