| Description | We breed them and grow them to 2 different sizes, 200 kg, and about 340 kg, then sell them. We don't fatten as the local grass in the extreme rainfall isn't high in protein. So we run it as a wiener factory This one was the heavier weight. Breeding was ok but nothing special, a bit light in the bones, see the legs He may even be out of the old herd (cross breed). He is off to the market today, a bit cranky but ok. Its a bit like a conveyor belt, we have to move them as we have many many more ready to wean now, so we have to make space. We will be up around 550 calves per year soon, and the mix is getting closer to 100% Droughtmaster slowly |
