Object history seit 1699 in den kurfürstlichen Sammlungen, im Berliner Schloss. Noch in der Zeit Friedrichs des Großen wurde es in der Bildergalerie des Berliner Schlosses präsentiert und 1763 von dort in die neu erbaute Bildergalerie von Sanssouci nach Potsdam übernommen.
