Description
English:

A blue dragonfly resting on the end of a stick.

This dragonfly is one of the most abundant dragonflies in the United States. Blue Dashers enjoy being next to slow-moving water and ponds, which makes Ocmulgee Mounds a perfect habitat for it. Blue Dashers consume hundreds of smaller insects a day, providing helpful pest control throughout the park.
