Description

Carrollton Avenue, Mid-City New Orleans.

Before the floods of 2005 this historic strip-mall (yes, that's right, I said it, a historic strip-mall) housed three very cool establishments: Mid-City Lanes (home of Rock'n'Bowl), Union Grocery (catering to the Latino shopper), and Bangkok Cuisine (Thai-Cajun fusion). There was also a very large thrift store — I forget the name.

Now we have Shamrock, Rainbow, RIO & ASI. A Nike store is also here.

I pass by this area almost daily, but I've never had a cause to visit since Mid-City Lanes relocated outside of Mid-City. The other establishments never returned after the floods.

The whole situation sucketh mucheth.
