Summary[edit]

Description

This park in eastern Salt Lake City, just outside University of Utah campus, is dedicated to the earliest Mormon settlers who came to the area in the 1840s.

This sculpture by Stanley J. Watts, entitled Journey's End, was dedicated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 24 July 1999, and depicts a Mormon family in a prayer of gratitude upon arrival in the Salt Lake Valley.
