Summary[edit]

Description

On 16 May 1969, the Thirtieth Military Advisers Conference began in Bangkok, Thailand. Seven international delegates, including a New Zealand representative, attended the two day conference - covering military relations, strategy, and undoubtedly, the Vietnam War. As well as high level talks, the delegates also took time to lay wreaths on the local war memorial, and play a spot of golf.

This image comes from the New Zealand Defence Force photo album of the event. It shows the representatives from nations such as the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand (far left). Archives New Zealand also holds similar photo albums of other Military Advisers Conferences (from 1959-1971).
