Summary[edit]

Description Anyone that knows me knows that I am clueless about a lot of things - and modern art is one of them. I hate things that hurt my head and make me think too hard. With that in mind I visited the French modern art gallery at the Pompidou Center, mostly because it was covered by the museum pass I had and it was freezing outside. Whenever I look at modern art I wonder if the artist had a point, and if so what was it, what kind of drugs was he/she on, and did someone actually pay for the piece. I love to stand beside intellectuals arguing or trying to impress their girl friends and potential lovers about the artist's feelings - I really like the discussion when the piece in question is something like a white sheet or paint thrown on a wall by a 6 year kid. I never reach that level - I look at some of the stuff and wonder if I am looking at a piece of art or something the janitor forgot to clean up. On the bright side, I did warm up for a bit before heading back into the cold
