Each boiler shellmeasures 36 inches diameter and contains 171 tubes, 3^^inch diameter and 16 feet long. Each boiler has individ-ual stack connection, and will be fired with crude oil,using four different makes of burners, one of which is theinvention of the companys mechanical engineer, Chas.F. Foster. Pressure of 160 pounds will be carried, andthe set are guaranteed to evaporate 112.500 pounds ofwater per hour. Three thousand is the aggregate nominal horse-powerof the plant. An interesting feature of the illustration isthat it shows four of these boilers, just as they left theworks, all Heine boilers being shipped ready to set with-out further shop work.
