we caniiresent to our public the fruit of their labors. TIIK POWER HOUSE, car shops and car house are located between Austin andLe Hranche streets and Commercial avenue, on I>uffaloHayou. The car house is 250 feet by 115 feet and canaccommodate 125 cars on the twelve tracks. The car-penter, paint and electrical repair shops adjoining, are160 by 27 feet and contain all necessarj* conveniences. Depots, all hotels, opera houses, the Masonic Temple,City I lall, markets and near all churches, finally reachingthe (jlenwood and German cemeteries. THE ROLLING STOCK includes 31 motor cars with as many trailers, besides 40horse cars now being rapidly supplanted by electric trac-tion. The cars are models of car-building art, and 24feet in length. They are made by Brill, of Philadelphia,Brownell Car Company, and the St. Louis Car Company,of St. Louis. The motors are divided as follows: Edison,12 cars with 15-horse-power motors, one with a Shortgearless and iS with the Thomson-Houston pattern.

SUPERINTENDEXT MUXDES, GENERAL MAXAGER mGREGOR, AND SECRETARY MKIXNEY; EDISON GENERATOR AND SWITCH-BOARD. The power station proper faces Le Branche street, andis 100 by 125 feet in dimensions. Here are housed four270-horse-power Allis Engine Companys, Reynolds-Corliss compound engines and five Babcock-Wilcoxtubular safety boilers, provided with Hoppes live steampurifiers. The engravings presented herewith show onebattery of boilers and the engines in action. THE ELECTRIC POWER is generated by Edison generators capable of developing100,000 kilowatts each. The dynamos and the completeswitch-board are also shown in the engravings. THE ROAD-BED is very substantial and laid with 4S-pound steel rails.making a smooth track over the paved streets. The 18 miles of track now electritied, reach everyward in this city, pass the Grand Central and Union The capital stock of the company has been increasedto $800,000, and the management now consists of E.
