| Description |
English: The storm of 1968 Early in the morning on 14th January 1968 a gale devastated central Scotland. Forests were hit hard, including the Benmore Arboretum. Years later evidence can still be found, there are numerous grassed over stumps and rotting trunks littering the hillside. A larch took advantage of the fallen tree but has recently been felled as part of the management of the gardens. |
