Summary[edit]

Description The spirit of the flood.
Spirits live everywhere : in the flood, the forest and the fell. This is a shrine to the spirit of the Hpilu river in the Shan State of Nam Hkon. The shrine is ordinarily disconnected from the shore, so that the spirit may not be tempted to wander o' nights. Communication is restored when offerings are to be made.
