I was just thinking, said he, extending his hand, asI saw YOU two youngsters rowing along, that I would like totalk with you; for you reminded me of a story. It is true,and if you will just sit down on this log I will tell it to you. The boys sat down immediately, anxious to hear whatso queer a man as Andy Norton would say. The man lookedcautiously about, then began his story. Two young men were once rowing along, just as youwere this morning. They were friends, and were talkingover their plans for the future.
