ライダーハウスとは、オートバイ・自転車などでの旅行者を主な対象にする比較的簡易な宿泊場所・宿泊施設。北海道で開設されている施設が多い。施設に明確な定義は無いが、多くは男女別の相部屋で、寝具も寝袋持参で雑魚寝（ごろ寝）とするところが多い。寝具を提供しないことによって旅館業法の適用を免れている施設がほとんどである。いわば、テントの要らないキャンプ場とも言える。
元々カニ族向けに駅前などで提供されていた臨時宿泊所が転じたもの（帯広カニの家など）と、80年代以降のミツバチ族が増加した時期に開設されたもの、それらを経験した者が開設したもの（これは北海道に限らない）がある。
