In seeing them ata meet it was noticeable that some weremuch shorter in their coats than others—not shorter, however, than the coat of anIrish Terrier. Possibly these may havebeen cross-bred. Something, however, must be allowed for the exposure and hardwork that falls to the lot of an Otterhoundin respect to coat. The Hon. GeoffreyHills hounds were in perfect command :a wave of his hand was enough to bringthem all to any point he wanted, and hewas remarkably quiet.
