Summary[edit]
DescriptionThe moving statue of Ballinspittal - geograph.org.uk - 239470.jpg |
English: The moving statue of Ballinspittal. In 1985 this grotto was world famous as the site of a supposed miracle. The statue of Our Lady was seen to move.
The Church remained sceptical, and the Bishop of Cork urged folk to treat the reports "with prudence and caution". However large crowds congregated here hoping to see a repeat performance. Now much quieter, it is a well cared for grotto with an enormous pull in for passing coach tours. |
