Hermon, as in all other insti-tutions associated v/ith Mr. Moodys name, centres around theBible, and the results are apparent in the large number of studentsengaged in hom.e and foreign missionary work. People sneered in the beginning at the idea of an uneducatedevangelist teaching the youth anything about education, but as thebuildings rose one after the other their sneers soon changed toastonishment, and now one only hears words of praise for thisnoble work. Mr. Moody had the most supreme faith in God astouching this educational work at Northfield. He knew that Godhad laid it on his heart, and was persuaded that He would help himto carry it through. I remember his telling at one time an incident which had todo with the completion of one of the buildings.
