Summary[edit]

Description
English: The iron stained inside of the middle adit. Great care is needed in entering copper mine adits. Very often the floor is false, being made of wood bridging deep winzes (underground vertical shafts). The timber having been in position for up 200 years or more is by reason very brittle and one false step can lead to a lethal fall. Mobile phones do not work outside the adit never mind at the bottom of a shaft, so if you should survive the fall, you are on your own.
