OUR FIRST NEWS OF THE BATTLE OFLEXINGTON Watertown Wednesday morning 10 oclock. To all the friends of American Liberty be it known thatthis morning before break of day a Brigade consisting of about1000 or 1200 men landed at Phips Farm at Cambridge andmarched to Lexington where they found a company of ourColony Militia in arms upon whom they fired without anyprovocation and killed six and wounded four others by an ex-press this moment from Boston we find another Brigade arenow on their march from Boston supposed to be about 1000.The bearer Mr. Isaac Bissell charged to alarm the countryquite to Connecticut and all persons are desired to furnish himwith such horses as they may be needed. I have spoke with several persons who have seen the deadand wounded. Pray let the Delegates from this Colony toConnecticut see this they know J. Palmer one of the Com. of S—y Col. Foster is one of the Delegates.
