English: George and Louisa Frye had four daughters, all born in Seattle. By the time this photograph was taken, the sisters ranged in age from 17 to 31. Handwritten by Patricia O. Wright on verso of mount: 1895. Elizabeth Frye Bogue, Mary Louise Frye Fortson Kirk, Sophie Frye Bass, Roberta Frye Watt. Specific identifications unclear, but based on comparisons to other photographs, each name seems to appear directly behind the person to whom it refers.
